Your growth is our mission

At Microsoft Advertising, our vision is to empower transformative connections between advertisers and publishers, creating opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. For publishers, this means providing an infrastructure that enables your success. Microsoft Monetize, powered by Xandr, is a strategic selling platform, which enables publishers to unlock the full value of their programmatic inventory with holistic inventory management controls and differentiated buyer demand. Our mission is to make advertising work better for media companies; we are uniquely positioned to offer the scaled, streamlined buying and selling platform the industry needs and to shape media monetization for the future.

A powerful global marketplace

In the first article in our three-part Monetize blog series, we shared what sets us apart in the programmatic advertising landscape: unique, scaled demand. It’s this unique, scaled demand that fuels our global marketplace. To be precise, it’s one of the world’s largest global programmatic advertising marketplaces, with demand sourced from over 500,000+ advertisers from across Microsoft's strategic buying platforms and DSP integrations. Publishers of all types, from omnichannel media to CTV streamers, can connect their inventory to advertisers no matter the format or channel—desktop, mobile, web, app, display, native, video—all at scale.

This article highlights how publishers can tap into the scaled demand of our global marketplace and generate ad revenue through efficient inventory management. By partnering with Monetize, publishers can maximize yield while maintaining control over their inventory.

Simplified ad management. Data-driven content. Transparent auctions.

Monetize puts publishers in control of their inventory. We’re always looking for efficient and transparent ways to help publishers realize their full demand opportunity.

Here are 3 ways Monetize enables publishers to maximize yield within our global marketplace:

  1. Native Assembly – on average, publishers enjoy a 10% increase in spend when they enable their inventory for native demand. Monetize’s directly integrated Native Assembly supports publishers native inventory aspirations with out-of-the-box renderers that match the look and feel of your content for a positive user experience. We also provide simple tools for customization beyond the basics, enabling sophisticated use cases that allow you to write your own CSS or JavaScript. Our native marketplace is anchored by Microsoft Advertising's own first-party supply, as well as the Microsoft Advertising Platform, one of the largest native buyers online.
  2. Inventory curation – Microsoft Curate, powered by Xandr, enables data owners to put their data to work by creating unique supply packages for buyers. We drive this demand through our curation platform, allowing 250+ curators to layer their data on your (publishers) inventory, empowering you with access to a unique demand source (without lift). Nearly 20% of the demand in our global marketplace comes through curation.
  3. Prebid Server Premium (PSP) – gives you access to an integrated header bidding tool with simplified connections to 200+ Prebid Server demand partner adapters across display, native, and video formats–so you can work with your preferred demand partners. You also have the lowest latency connection when running on Monetize SSP. Working with Microsoft Advertising for your wrapper needs means that demand coming from Monetize SSP runs on the same data center (not running between different companies and data centers) which minimizes latency and upholds user experience. Additionally, accessible and transparent insights offer powerful analytics, providing granular reporting for quick insight into demand partner performance. You’ll also have access to troubleshooting tools to validate partner integrations. As a part of our commitment to transparency, Prebid Server Premium also offers granular data available via API, log-level data, and bid key values sent to your ad server to help you make data-driven decisions for your business.

Save time and maximize monetization with Monetize Insights

Truth: analytic insights drive strategy. We've completely rebuilt our publisher-facing reporting dashboards and analytics tools through our new Monetize Insights dashboard. Now you can gain a complete picture of your business with data visualization, performance tracking, and filtering tools to help you easily monitor your program health. We've rethought how we calculate lost revenue, looking at the highest bidding items that are blocked, for a more accurate picture of your yield opportunity compared to the common practice of looking solely at aggregate bid errors. The streamlined design of Monetize Insights makes your data easy to understand, easy to access, and easy to action on, configuring reporting dashboards or relying on in-depth reporting to access high-level revenue and inventory information are a thing of the past. By gaining insights into revenue performance and deeper understanding of bid rejections, you're poised to unlock revenue opportunities.

Monetize Insights is informative and intuitive. The bid rejection data had helped us identify bid rejection types that were costing us revenue and that we could quickly reverse. The comparison charts on the Total Revenue tab have also been helpful, bringing to light some interesting trends. Overall, the dashboards have been easy to use and quite insightful!
